The International Women’s Peace Group (hereinafter referred to as “IWPG”) complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and any subordinate statutes for the freedom and protection of the principals of information. According to Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, IWPG informs members (hereinafter also referred to as “users”) of the purpose and method of collecting and using personal information (hereinafter also referred to as “information”) provided by members and announces the following policies to respond and deal with various related issues. This policy applies to all websites owned and run by IWPG
Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information
IWPG collects and uses personal information as follows.
- Processing of 2026 International Women’s Peace Conference participation applications and identity verification
- Notification of important event-related announcements and event operations
- Participant management and support for networking within the conference
Items Collected
- Name, Organization, Position, Phone
Retention and Use Period
- Retained for one year from the end of the event, then promptly destroyed
- Method of destruction: Electronic files are permanently deleted in an unrecoverable manner; printed materials are shredded or incinerated
Right to Refuse Consent and Notice of Disadvantages
- You may refuse to consent to this collection and use of personal information. However, as this is a required item for participation in the event, refusal of consent will limit your ability to apply for and attend the conference.
Note: For networking purposes during the event, some information (name, affiliation, position) may be shared among conference participants.
Consent to Photography/Videography and Promotional Use
During this conference, photographs and videos may be taken for press coverage and record-keeping purposes, and the materials recorded may be used for the following purposes.
Scope and Purpose of Use
- Posting on IWPG’s official website and SNS channels
- Production and distribution of newsletters and commemorative promotional materials
- Press coverage and other non-profit peace activity promotional purposes
Right to Refuse Consent and Notice of Disadvantages
- You may refuse this consent. However, due to the nature of the event, some on-site photography (overall venue shots, group photos, etc.) may be unavoidable.
Note: If you do not wish to consent to photography, please let the on-site information desk or event staff know in advance on the day of the event, and we will make accommodations such as seating arrangements wherever possible. Please understand, however, that you may still be included in unavoidable situations such as overall venue shots or group photos.
Consent to Receive Promotional and Newsletter Information (Optional)
Purpose of Collection and Use
- Provision of IWPG’s regular newsletters, peace activity information, campaign announcements, and information on future events (via email)
Items Collected
- Email address, name, Phone Number
Retention and Use Period
- Until consent is withdrawn or service provision ends
Note: This consent to receive promotional information is optional. Even if you do not consent, it will not affect your application for or attendance at the ‘2026 International Women’s Peace Conference’ in any way.
